| To fish in American
lakes you are required to purchase a license for each state that
you wish to fish in on average it costs
$13.50 -
£7.28.
The
lake fishing
in America is what I believe to be some of the best in the world
you can catch anything from perch all the way up to 60+Pound
muskie which are similar to pike. In the lakes they get bass
which are known to uk people to be caught in saltwater.
The lakes as I expected are not
small some go to 31,700 Sq. miles and 1,300ft
deep being lake superior, so these are not small lakes that you
can see from one side to the other as suspected.

I have not experienced saltwater fishing in America but have
heard it is almost unbeatable with lots of salmon fishing going
on.
All in all though fishing in the USA is a lot cheaper than
fishing in the uk bait is much cheaper paying just $2.50 -
£1.38 for 2doz worms which will last a good
hour. |
Before you even fish in the uk you
will be required to have a rod license costing
£23.75 - $44.25 you
are then required to purchase a fishing license which varies in
price depending on where you want to fish and what you want to
catch. I have experienced
both freshwater but more saltwater fishing in the UK.
The freshwater fishing was
expensive but good the bait is cheaper for freshwater but the
fishingv license was quite pricy. There is quite a variety of
fish, most fishing has to be done from the shore as the lakes
simply aren't big enough for boats, there are a lot of carp and bream.
Trout fishing is a well off persons sport so I of course have
not experienced that.:-)
Sea fishing on the other
hand is free to fish but the bait is quite pricy bet well worth
it you can expect to catch almost anything some of the best
being large cod in the winter, huge conger eels that go to
250-350lb in weight.
